Do I have to participate in the catalog to be a member?
No. We offer the Silver Membership, which does not include catalog participation.

Do I have to order from all of the vendors on the program?
No. You select the vendors you order from and the products that you want to order.

Will my local Rep still get their commissions?
Yes.

Do I have to send my orders through Gourmet Catalog?
No. You continue to order as you always have.

How long am I committed to the program?
Contracts are renewed each calendar year.

Do I have to establish credit with a vendor I've never purchased from before?

Yes. Follow standard vendor procedures.

When do my discounts and dating start?

On the same day your contract is received.


How do the vendors know that I am a part of the program?

We inform vendors of your membership.


Do the vendors deduct the discount from my invoice?
Yes, unless otherwise noted.

What if a vendor is not giving me the proper discount?
Contact the Gourmet Catalog office, and we will assist you.

Do I have to pay to come to the Member Meetings?
No. Member Meetings are for your benefit.

Can I get stock from another store?
Yes. You may do this via our Store Stock Exchange program.

What if I need program information after business hours?
Program information is available online at gourmetcatalogmembers.com in Members Only.
I paid the Silver Membership fee. Can I sign up for the catalog?
Yes. We will credit the difference to your catalog payments.

Do I have to stock all of the merchandise in the catalog.
No. You choose which items to stock.

How can I distribute my catalogs?

You can use them as store handouts, or we can assist you with mailing, mailing lists, or inserting them into a newspaper.

How are the items priced in the catalogs?
We follow MSRPs in most cases

 

How are the catalogs personalized?
Your store information is printed on the front and back covers.

Will I know what will be in the catalog?
Wewill provide you with a complete listing of merchandise months in advance.

Do I have to write POs for all of the catalog merchandise?
We provide POs for catalog merchandise.

Can I mail the catalogs after the available mail date?
Yes.
